Sisters to reunite on volleyball team |
|
|
February 16, 2004
Anne Jankowski, daughter of John and Mary Jankowski and 2004 Skutt Catholic
High School graduate, has signed a letter of intent with the College of Saint
Mary Flames volleyball team, head coach Trish Siedlik announced on Thursday.
Jankowski and the Skyhawks finished 18-19 this last season. She will join
former teammate and older sister, Katie, next season as the Flames take aim
to defend their conference and regional crowns.
Jankowski, an All Conference (River Cities), and Honorable Mention All State
selection, had 1154 career set assists for the Skyhawks from 2001-2003. She
is the third Skutt volleyball player that will go through the program in
addition to her sister. The first player from Skutt Catholic's head coach
Laura Cushing's program, was Alison Helgoth, an All American middle hitter
for the Flames from 1998-2001.
"Anne has the skills to push for a starting spot as a setter for our team.
With the graduation of four-time All American setter, Marla Mach, this
position can be filled by a couple of competing players. What makes our team
so successful is our deep bench and the constant competition in practices.
Anne is a tough competitor," said head coach Trish Siedlik.
She is also is a member of the National Honor Society and was an Academic All
Conference selection.
Jankowski will join future recruits Jessica Crnkovich from Ashland Greenwood,
Mandy Kreikemeier from West Point Central Catholic, and Erin Wood from St.
Paul next season. Crnkovich, Kreikemeier and Jankowski currently play for the
18 and under Premier Volleyball Club under coach Rick Welch.

Fundraiser Profits |
|
|
January 7, 2004
For those players/families that participated in the Red Wheel fundraising opportunity, your profit has been applied to your player fees. Therefore, your next payment due January 15 will be written for your total balance less your profit. For example, if your balance is $500 and your credit was $96, your next payment should be written for $404.
If you do not remember your profit or have any questions, please e-mail me and I will let you know. premier_vb@yahoo.com
