These sessions are designed for players who have chosen a position or want to increase their level of experience and expertise. The sessions are for athletes who want to take their ability of play to the next level.

Nic and Andrea Sikora (11 Gold coaches) welcomed their two healthy baby boys to the world Friday, March 19th! Alvin Patrick was born at 9:41 AM on March 19th, 2010. He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19.5 inches long. His brother Griffin Phillip was born at 9:42 AM on March 19th, 2010. He weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and was 19.5 inches long. Mom, dad and babies are doing well. Congratulations Andrea and Nic! Baby Alvin and Baby Griffin will be joining all of our other recent additions to the Premier Family!! They are the 3rd set of twins in our coaching staff. All sets are boys.

This camp is geared toward teaching the basic fundamentals of each skill to beginning level players and being part of a fun team atmosphere. There will be drills, games, tournaments for all players to enjoy. We also will include team activities throughout the night. Bring your volleyball gear, pj?s and a sleeping bag for loads of fun with the BRUINS!

Through a partnership with the Hruska Clinic, Premier Volleyball continues to provide the most well rounded club volleyball experience for young athletes. We believe these partnerships are essential for the growth of Premier Volleyball because they help ensure the physical health of our athletes.

The Hruska Clinic offers a unique approach to physical therapy called Postural Restoration. This approach addresses the underlying faulty movement patterns or mechanics that are directly influencing pain symptoms. Specific exercises are instructed to restore proper alignment and movement strategies. Exercises progress as strength allows, eventually including very dynamic activity, so re-training is similar to the athlete’s sport demands.

Jennifer Gloystein of the Hruska Clinic will be coming to the Courts every other Thursday from 2-8:00pm. If anyone has a question or would like to know more about Hruska’s services, they can call her at 402-467-4545, email her at Jennifer@hruskaclinic.com or stop by when she is at The Courts. She is located directly above the Xplosive Edge training area, which is accessed through the Tiki Room. She will be there this Thursday, January 21st, and she still has openings on the schedule. For appointment information and future dates, they should contact Hruska’s Lincoln office at 402-467-4545.

Premier Volleyball is excited to offer these partnerships to our athletes, who will benefit by becoming more explosive volleyball players while reducing the likelihood of injuries.

Statistics have shown that Premier teams that had or had close to 100% participation have been extremely successful in their seasons. It is not too late to sign up. Recruiting Seminar

We will have two sessions at The Courts.
1st Session - Saturday, January 23rd (Noon-1:30pm)
2nd Session -Wednesday, January 27th (6pm-7:30pm)

All Premier Club members interested in being recruited for college volleyball are highly encouraged to attend. It's not too early to think about your college options - recommended for parents who's players are 15 & Up. This has been a successful seminar and answers many questions that may come up in your quest for a college scholarship. Since tournaments have started and qualifiers are coming up and many coaches will be watching, this is a great time to get educated!!

MANDATORY RULES CLINIC FOR ALL COACHES AND PLAYERS

All coaches are required to attend a rules clinic every year.
It is helpful for the younger age groups if we also have a few parents that understand scorekeeping and can assist at tournaments when needed.

The Hruska Clinic will be coming up to The Courts on Sunday Dec. 13th to do free screenings for any athlete who has NOT had a screening yet. The screenings will be from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm and are highly encouraged for all of the athletes. Screenings should only be around 10-15 minutes. At that point they will let you know if you will need further physical therapy and Hruska will be at The Courts again on December 17th. Time TBA.

Polar Plunge 2009

WHEN: Saturday, December 12th, 2009
Registration begins at 9:30, team and individual plunging starts at 11:00
WHERE: Lake Zorinsky (156th & F Street)
WHY: To support the Nebraska Special Olympics

Premier Volleyball and the Special Olympics Nebraska (SONE) have teamed up for the Annual Premier Golf Outing and the 2009 SONE Summer Games. Now we challenge you to "TAKE THE PLUNGE" as a member of the PREMIER VOLLEYBALL TEAM.

We are asking for one coach from each Premier team to PLUNGE.

The team that raises the most money will receive a Pizza Party at The Courts following the practice of their choice.

Please collect donations from your team. The deadline is Friday, December 11th. We hope this will be a great team bonding activity.

Brochures are available outside the Premier Office. Please discuss this activity with your team at the next practice and .....let them know who will be plunging!

Amy will register the team the morning of the plunge.
All PREMIER VOLLEYBALL TEAM members will need to arrive by 10:30.

2009 December Diaper Drive, a benefit for The Lydia House!

JOIN US FOR THE 94.1 DIAPER DRIVE AND HELP SHOW OMAHA JUST HOW GREAT OUR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS ARE!

The Courts, along with Premier Volleyball Club, Omaha Wave, River City Juniors and Nebraska Impact, hope you will join them in helping the 94.1 Diaper Drive, a benefit for The Lydia House.

It?s easy to participate: if everyone donates just one package of diapers, our volleyball players can make a big difference! Last year we collected 6,800 diapers. Let's aim for 10,000 diapers this year!

We will be collecting diapers from December 1 to December 17th.

Please bring a package of diapers (larger sizes are best) to practice and leave in the drop-off boxes by each door. All diapers will be donated on Saturday, December 19th on behalf of The Courts, its volleyball clubs and their players!

Congratulations to the athletes selected for the 2010 Premier 18 Gold, 18 Black, 17 Gold, 16 Gold, 15 Gold, 15 Black, 15 Red, 14 Gold, 14 Black, 14 Red, 14 Silver, 13 Gold, 13 Black, 13 Red, 13 Silver, 12 Gold, 12 Black, 12 Red, 12 Silver, 11 Gold and 11 Black teams. Due to the depth, talent and overall athleticism in all these age divisions we have secured quality coaches to provide a 4th team in the 14s, 13s and 12s divisions. Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday. Tryouts were a huge success and we are looking forward to another fun and exciting year!!!!!!!

15s-18s Parents and Coaches: Don't forget your Parent and Coaches Meeting will be held on Monday, November 23rd (7pm-9pm). NEW! This year's meeting will be for PARENTS ONLY and Coaches. Players will be fitted for uniforms and warmups at practices. The meeting will be held at College of Saint Mary. Mercy Hall - Downstairs. Enter at the South end of campus - 72nd & Mercy Road. We will be completing paperwork and going over important information about the upcoming season.

Emphasis is put on increasing strength, balance, agility, and range of motion, all while developing more power. These Premier Volleyball athletes are increasing their vertical jumps while at the same time learning how to jump and land on the ground as well as accelerate and decelerate. Plyometrics are included in our training regimen only when the athlete has become strong enough to control their bodies in space.

Premier athletes are trained twice a week (45 min. sessions) right before or after their practice. Each athlete is pre and post performance tested to see their own individual performance index score created by Boyd Epley of Epic Athletic Performance.

As of July 6th, 2009, 11 of our 13 seniors had received and accepted offers to play at the collegiate level. We are very pleased with the performance of both Premier 18s teams this year and wish all of the seniors the best as they start college.

Congratulations to Creighton University, West Texas A&M University, St. Cloud State University, Doane, Dana College, Missouri Western State University, Emporia State, University of Sioux Falls and Nebraska Wesleayn for securing such a talented group of athletes. Our best wishes to all of our seniors who begin their future careers in a couple short months. We?ll miss you all!

Through partnerships with the Hruska Clinic and Xplosive Edge, Premier Volleyball continues to provide the most well rounded club volleyball experience for young athletes. We believe these partnerships are essential for the growth of Premier Volleyball because they help ensure the physical health of our athletes.

The Xplosive Edge is a strength and conditioning company known for its cutting edge research and technology in the field of maximizing athletic performance. With the integration of biomechanics, the Xplosive Edge will remain years ahead of the competition. The Xplosive Edge is a results driven company that places a major emphasis on decreasing injuries while creating a faster and stronger athlete.

The Hruska Clinic offers a unique approach to physical therapy called Postural Restoration. This approach addresses the underlying faulty movement patterns or mechanics that are directly influencing pain symptoms. Specific exercises are instructed to restore proper alignment and movement strategies. Exercises progress as strength allows, eventually including very dynamic activity, so re-training is similar to the athlete's sport demands.

Premier Volleyball is excited to offer these partnerships to our athletes, who will benefit by becoming more explosive volleyball players while reducing the likelihood of injuries.

Brett and Rayna Cain (18 Black Asst Coach) welcomed their new baby girl to the world Tuesday, October 27th! Her name is Sydnie Renee. She arrived weighing 7 lbs, 15 oz and 20 inches long. Congratulations Rayna and Brett! Baby Sydnie will be joining all of our other recent additions to the Premier Family.....Peyton (10 months), daughter of Jodi Langhorst (16 Gold Asst Coach) and Taylor (5 months), daughter of Amy McLeay (Director of Premier Performance). The Xplosive Edge would like to offer 2 pre-tryout performance 100 and 101 camps to ANY volleyball player looking to increase their performance and get ready for tryouts. This camp is specifically for athletes that want to increase their vertical jump, power, and agility before tryouts so they can compete at a higher level of play. This camp will be run by the professional performance coaches of the Xplosive Edge and will be tailored to the needs and movements of competitive volleyball. All Training will be done at The Courts. See below for details and cost. All athletes will train 2x per week (1hr. Sessions) on either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. It is imperative that each athlete receives 2 days of recovery in-between training sessions so they will need to stick to these two options.

COME JOIN US AND HAVE SOME FUN!

We are offering modified open gym sessions for ages 11U through 14U!
This open gym is available to any 11U-14U in the area. There will be 1/2 hour to work on personal skills and then 1 hour of team/game play with coach assistance.

The focus of these sessions will be to offer "game like" play for those athletes that are not able to participate in a fall league or simply just want more playing time on the court!! The goal will be to bring those skills that you work on at Special Sessions Clinics and bring them to life in a game like situation.

Oct. 4th's session will be 7pm-8:30pm

All sessions are full at this time. Please check back if any spots open up.

THERE WILL BE 6 WEEKS OF SESSIONS
August 23rd, 30th; Sept 13, 20, 27 and Oct 4
