Rick Welch, Club Director
Rick has been the club director for Premier Volleyball since 1997. He has been CAP (Coaches Accreditation Program) Level 1 Certified. Rick has 6 additional years of coaching with other clubs, such as Omaha Volleyball Club, Bellevue University Club, and Bellevue Juniors Club. Rick has 9 years of experience as a player for Omaha Volleyball Club/ Pefferoni's Men's Team and Omaha Sports Club co-ed teams. Rick holds National Ratings with USAV and PAVO as an official. He officiates for Big Ten, Big XII, Missouri Valley, Conference USA (Division I), Northern Sun (Division II), Great Plains Athletic and Midlands Collegiate Athletic (NAIA) Conferences. He has served 4 years on both USAV and PAVO National Rating Teams and 2 years on the Officials Training Program (OTP) Camp staff. Rick was the Great Plains Region President from 1988 through 1998 and Secretary from 1999 to 2000. He served as the Great Plains Official's Board Chair during 1996 and 1997 and PAVO Board Chair from 1993 through 1999. Rick was awarded the USAV 2002 Gold Whistle Award for his work at the 2001 US Open Championships. Rick is presently employed as a registered Architect (30 years) for a local architectural and engineering company.

Amy McLeay, Director of Premier
Performance is starting her 6th season with Premier Volleyball. She is CAP I & Impact certified. Amy directs Special Session Training for all Premier athletes as well as having served as the head coach for 16 Black in 2005, 18 Gold in 2006, 16 Gold in 2007 and 15 Gold 2008.
Amy also directs Summer Camps, Little Stars, lessons and year round training for Premier athletes as well as non-Premier athletes through Premier Performance.
Amy began her collegiate volleyball career at Michigan State University, followed by a season at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She finished her last two volleyball seasons with the University of Nebraska at Omaha, helping UNO return to the NCAA tournament. Amy received North Central Conference and All-American recognition.
After graduating from UNO in the summer of 2004 with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology\Coaching, Amy began her career with Premier Volleyball where she has been active in the Club Development and Coaching. Amy’s other volleyball accomplishments include Head Coach for the Duchesne freshman team and assisted with Junior Varsity and Varsity development in Fall 2005. During the 2006 volleyball season, she was Assistant coach at Bellevue University.
Amy and her husband, John, live in Omaha. They have 3 children, Johnny Mac, Zachary and Taylor Ann

Michelle Lund, Director of Communications
and Web Designer
Michelle Lund, daughter of Marian Gyhra, is the web developer
and designer for www.premiervolleyball.org. Michelle is in charge
of all communication and organization of Premier Volleyball.
She keeps coaches, parents and players updated throughout the
season via email. Michelle also selects the Premier Apparel
and designs all the Premier Apparel Logos. You will also see
her accompanied by her little girl and future Premier Volleyball
player, Miss Gabby (Premier 3&U Gold).

Marian Gyhra, Assistant Club Director
Marian Gyhra assists in the organization of Premier Volleyball. She also coordinates meetings and travel.
Marian, like Michelle, works with choosing the Premier Apparel for each year.

Gibbie Duval, Xplosive Edge (Director
of Athletic Performance)
Gibbie Duval has been a strength and conditioning coach with the Xplosive Edge since the fall of 2004, and has become the Director of Athletic Performance since then. Under his brother Zach Duval now head strength coach at Creighton University, Gibbie has been a part of the "Husker Power" program for about 4 years, and was directly involved with the Performance 101 program dating back to 1999. Gibbie is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and participates in several strength and fitness symposiums across the country and also is a speaker for Boyd Epley across the country. Gibbie is presently the head strength and conditioning coach at The Courts and also assists at the Omaha Sports Complex primarily with the Developing Edge youth training programs. Gibbie is also the strength and conditioning coach for the Bellevue Women's Volleyball programs as well as the College of St. Mary's Women's soccer program. Gibbie is certified by the United States of America Weightlifting Association and holds a Sports Performance Coach Certification. Gibbie also holds a certification through the Tudor Bompa Institute as a "strength and conditioning expert." Gibbie is also certified by EPIC, a Boyd Epley company for excellence in standardized testing and evaluation of athletic performance and under the American Red Cross in CPR, first AID, and AED. Gibbie also has assisted in training several clubs (soccer, football, baseball, volleyball) in the Omaha area as well as several professional and collegiate athletes.
Gibbie is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska where he was a two sport all state athlete at Lincoln East High School with the Spartans. Gibbie then went on to play junior college baseball at Johnson County and then to Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, IA. Gibbie then attended the University of Nebraska Omaha where he studied Exercise Science. While in Kansas City, Gibbie was fortunate enough to be able to study under the legendary Romanian Olympic coach Istvan Javorek. Istvan was the original creator of the "dumbbell complex? and Gibbie was able to work with several Olympic athletes on sports performance enhancement and injury prevention programs.

Sarah Bender
Sarah played with Premier for five years from 14's to 18's and is a Millard West 2007 graduate. She played middle and right side hitter for four years at Millard West where she was a two year letter winner. This is Sarah's first year coaching with Premier, but has coaching experience with the 7AAA St. Stephens volleyball team. Sarah is a junior at University of Nebraska-Omaha where she is studying speech-language pathology.

Dani Boner
Dani is a Premier Alumna (2 years) and is in her fifth year of coaching. Dani graduated from Mercy HIgh School in 2005 and played at Augsburg College as an outside hitter. Dani was a four year starting outside hitter and played a major role in developing and rebuilding the program. While in living in Minneapolis, Dani coached for several clubs including Bloomington Juniors and Armour Volleyball club. This past fall she coached the 9B squad at Chaska High School, one of the leading volleyball programs in the state of Minnestoa. Dani will graduate from Augsburg in December with a degree in Exercise Sports Science. She says the best part of coaching is the learning experience. "The best coaches, like teachers, never stop learning. I love learning new drills and new ways to teach the girls. I am always excited to see what the girls can teach me."

Judy Boner
Judy is returning to coaching after taking off a few years to watch daughters and Premier alum, Dani (2005) and Bri (2007) play club volleyball.This is her third year coaching with Premier.
Judy is Impact certified and has had successful coaching seasons at St Vincent de Paul, Mid City Monarchs and Nebraska Impact. She played for Mercy High School's State
championship team and played outside hitter at Wayne State College. While playing club volleyball after college, she gained experience playing all three positions (OH, MB and setter)
which helps her understand the challenges at each of these specialties. Her philosophy is that: Good things happen to those who work hard. In the fall, you'll find her
traveling to watch both daughters playing college volleyball.

Kali Brayfield
Kali is a Premier Alumna (2 years) and is in her third year of coaching for Premier and fourth year of coaching club ball. Kali graduated from Elkhorn in 2006 and went on to play at Dana College as a middle. In 2006 she was All-Conference honorable mention. In 2007 she made All-Tournament team at the Grinnell Tournament. In 2008 she was selected to second team all conference. Kali says the best part of coaching is "Watching players grow and improve, its the moment where you see the hard work in practice pay off."

Jamie Belt, Xplosive Edge (Assistant Director of Athletic Performance) Jamie is the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance and has been with The Xplosive Edge since the fall of 2005. He is certified through The National Strength and Conditioning Association, National Academy of Sports Medicine, EPIC, and holds certificates of completion through the Postural Restoration Institute. Jamie is also certified under the American Red Cross in CPR, first aid, and AED.
Jamie also has assisted in training several sports clubs in the Omaha area as well as several professional and collegiate athletes. In addition, Jamie also serves as strength and conditioning coach for College of Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team, Bellevue University Women’s volleyball team, and Bellevue University Men’s soccer team.
Jamie is a Native of Pender, Nebraska where he was and all state athlete in football and baseball. He Graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne Nebraska with a degree in Exercise Science. Jamie Resides in Omaha Nebraska

Matt Buttermore, Staff
Matt Buttermore begins his first season as an assistant coach
on the Bellevue Bruin coaching staff after serving three seasons
as an assistant at Concordia University in Seward, Neb.
Buttermore also has experience coaching numerous volleyball
club teams. A graduate of the University of Findlay (Ohio),
Buttermore was a four-year letterwinner and academic all-conference
performer as a middle blocker for the NCAA Division I men's
volleyball team.
He also holds University of Findlay school records for blocks in a single match and total blocks in a season.
Buttermore lives in Lincoln with his wife Laura (formerly Laura Pilakowski), who was a two-time All-American volleyball player at Nebraska and a member of the 2000 undefeated national championship team.
In addition to his coaching duties, Buttermore also serves as a copywriter at Bellevue.

Rayna Cain
Rayna is in her 3rd year coaching 18's with premier. She is
a graduate of Homer High School, where she was a three-time
All Lewis and Clark Conference selection and a three-sport Academic
All-State honoree. Rayna Cain began as head coach of the Dana
College Vikings volleyball program in 2006. Cain was a four-time
All-Northern Sun Conference First Team selection as a 6-2 middle
hitter at Wayne State College from 1999-2002. She ranks second
on the Wildcats? all-time list in blocks (388), third in kills
(1,517) and seventh in attacks (3,471). Cain helped the Wildcats
win the NSIC regular season title in the 2001 season, going
16-2 in conference play and 24-9 overall. Cain has three years
of high school coaching experience at Neligh-Oakdale, guiding
the Warriors to the Class C-2 State Tournament in 2004 and 2005.
Her record at Neligh-Oakdale was 51-19, including marks of 21-3
and 21-4 in the past two seasons.

Dave Chalupa
Dave has been coaching club ball for 14 years and in his 8th year coaching for Premier. (14's,16's and 12's) Dave is absolutely in love with the game of volleyball and never is far from the game. Dave is Impact and Cap II certified. If this isn't enough, Dave is still an avid player, participating in co-ed and men's volleyball. Just for fun, Dave is a Certified National referee, working all levels of collegiate volleyball including Big XII and Missouri Valley conferences as well as working USAV National events throughout the year. Past teams have all been involved in some type of community service and he continues to preach the concepts of "paying it forward" and promoting "random acts of kindness. Dave says, "People ask me what I do when I'm not involved with volleyball ....... I'll let them know when it happens."

Janet Chalupa
Janet is in her 6th year of coaching with Premier Volleyball. In past years, she assisted Dave Chalupa with our 16 and 12 Gold teams. She is an IMPACT Certified Coach. Janet played for the College of Saint Mary Flames Volleyball team and played the setter position. Before attending CSM, she played at Westside High School and was named All-State Honorable Mention. Currently, Janet plays in the City Rec league. Janet says the best part of coaching is "Developing new relationships with the players and their families. Providing a safe and healthy environment for the kids and watching them grow."

Stephanie Connell
Stephanie Connell is in her first year of coaching for Premier. Stephanie played club for six years with the Shenandoah Jrs. and Third Degree. She graduated from Harlan Community High School in 2007 where she was a setter. She now attends Dana College as an Accounting and Spanish major and plays as a setter for the Viking Volleyball Team where she earned honors as an NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Liz Elwell
Liz played middle for Potter-Dix High School and graduated in 2002. Her team went to state 3 of those years, and she played in the State championship game in 1999. Liz has been playing in volleyball leagues and recreational tournaments in the Lincoln and Omaha areas since then. In 2009, Liz was the assistant coach for the 12 Red team.

Doug Feagan
Doug Feagan has been a youth sports coach, especially volleyball, for over 25 years. He is CAP (Coach Accreditation Program) Level 1 certified. Doug is an IMPACT Trainer for coaches of the USAV Great Plains Region.
After a 12 year career with Union Pacific Railroad, Doug went to UNO and earned a Masters Degree in Physical Education, specializing in exercise science and coaching. At UNO he became a student assistant coach for the Maverick volleyball team, which hosted the 1987 NCAA Division II Final Four as one of those final four teams. In 1988 he became the head volleyball and softball coach for Wayne State College. In 1990 he moved back to Bellevue and restarted the Bellevue College volleyball team and was head coach for six years.
Doug “re-enlisted” at Union Pacific in 1997, but continued coaching volleyball with St. Mary’s School in Bellevue . Doug started two different clubs, Stealth VBC and Spartans VBC. In addition to acting as club director, he coached one or two teams each season. He has also been a coach for Bellevue Juniors VBC. Doug has conducted numerous volleyball clinics for kids from age 4 through 18. He has also conducted many clinics for coaches. Doug started coaching for Premier VBC in 2006.

Katy Gregory
Katy is a Premier alum and in her third year coaching club volleyball. Katy played club volleyball for seven years and three of those were with Premier. She attended Mercy High School where she was a four year letter winner in both Volleyball and Track & Field. While playing in high school she was an outside hitter and earned All State Honorable mention. Currently, Katy is a junior Psychology major at Bellevue University . At Bellevue , she plays as the volleyball team's Libero. In 2007 and 2008 she helped her team make the NAIA National Tournament. In 2008 her team was ranked 4th in the NAIA and finished in the top 12. Katy received the NAIA Champions of Character Award at the 2008 National Tournament and also received MCAC second team honors, volleyball Bruin award, and volleyball academic award. Katy says the best part about coaching is, "Watching the girls improve from the first practice to the last."

Shannon Gyhra
Shannon is in her 7th year with Premier, and is CAP I certified. She has coached Premier's 13 Gold and 14 Gold teams and this year will be coaching the 15 Gold team. In the 2007 season, Shannon coached Premier's 14 Gold team to an Open 4th place finish at Northern Lights National Qualifier in Minneapolis, and a 5th place finish at the USA Junior Olympic Girls Volleyball Championships in Minneapolis. In 2008, her 14 Gold team had many top finishes in the Open Division. Including a 2nd Place Open finish at Omaha Presidents Day, a 4th place Open finish at Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier, a 2nd place Open finish at Northern Lights National Qualifer, and ending the season with a strong showing at the USA Junior Olympic Girls' Volleyball Championship in Dallas finishing 10th in the Open Division. She is a Premier alumna and played for Premier for 4 years. Shannon is highly motivated, and very passionate about youth and volleyball, she has worked to push young athletes to work hard and become their personal best.

Steve Hruby
Steve is in his second season with Premier. Last season the Premier 11 Black team finished the year by winning The Great Plains Region Tournament 12 Silver, Consolation Championship. Steve has his CAP I accreditation from USA Volleyball. This summer in Long Beach CA, he finished the first part of the Beach Coaches Accreditation program. Steve has two daughters that play for Premier and in the fall he coaches for St. James in the Parochial Athletic League. --I love teaching volleyball because I can help the players step up their skills to new levels, acquire a wholesome confidence from being in competitive environments, and help the players pursue the bond that creates a connected team.

Zach Hansen, Xplosive Edge (Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
Zach is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and joined the Xplosive Edge staff in May of 2007. He is a member of, and certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is also certified through EPIC, holds a certificate of completion through the Postural Restoration Institute, as well as CPR, first aid and AED.
Zach has assisted in the strength and conditioning for many youth sports in Omaha as well as Bellevue University men’s soccer, Bellevue University women’s volleyball and College of Saint Mary soccer.
Zach is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska where he was an all-state athlete in football, wrestling and soccer. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis on Exercise Science.

Dan Hanus
Dan is in his 4th year of coaching with Premier. Last year he
coached the 11 Gold team. He is a CAP I certified coach. He
has two daughters that play for Premier as well. Dan has played
on Coed (Indoor and Sand) as well as Mens teams in his spare
time. Dan says he enjoys the experience of watching the enthusiasm
and confidence in his players grow as they learn and try new
skills throughout the year.

Tricia Harder
Tricia is in her 4th year of coaching with Premier. Tricia has coached at many clubs, schools and leagues in the metro Omaha/Elkhorn area in the past 18 years. She played four years of volleyball for the College of Saint Mary. She then continued playing after college in the USAV league and doubles tournaments. She is CAP I certified and has been an accredited referee and scorekeeper as a result of playing in the women's USAV leagues. She is rewarded with the lessons that she learns every day, with each experience in coaching and it's affects on both the players and the coaches.

Chris
Johnson
Chris Johnson is excited to be coaching for Premier and is in his second season. Chris has been coaching volleyball for the past six years for his daughter's YMCA Spirit League team and of the nine players on the "Y" team, eight play club ball, five for Premier. Last season the Premier 11 Black fought through the early part of the season and finished strong against U12 teams. The 11B finished in first place in the silver consolation bracket at the Great Plains regional tournament. Chris' daughters, Andrea and Marissa, have played for Premier for many years and are currently playing on the varsity team at Burke High School. He is looking forward to the club season and his goal is to help young players develop good volleyball skills. Chris is IMPACT certified. Chris manages the Fairfield Inn and Suites during the day. When he isn't cheering his daughters on at Burke HS or with Premier, you can find him playing ice hockey on Wednesday nights.

Tammy Johnson
Tammy Johnson played high school volleyball in Dubuque , Iowa (all-conference and all-state honors)
She then went on and played college volleyball at Southern Arkansas University. After playing, Tammy went on to coach. She was the
Varsity volleyball coach at Thomas Jefferson HS ( Council Bluffs ) for 5 years, Bluffs Jrs. club volleyball director and coach for 3 years,
La Vista BOOM! club volleyball director and coach 5 years, she coached at the USA Junior Olympic Girls? Volleyball Championships, coached 9th, 8th, and 7th grade volleyball for Papillion-La Vista,
Works high school volleyball camps in the summer and is currently a guidance counselor at Papillion-La Vista HS and coaching 7th grade volleyball at La Vista JH.
Tammy is IMPACT certified.

Bill Krivohlavek
Bill began coaching volleyball when his two daughters started playing volleyball. Bill joined Rick when he formed “Premier”. He is IMPACT certified and CAP 1 certified. Bill has coached 12 & u, 13 & u and 14 &u teams for Premier. He says the most exciting thing about coaching is ‘Being a part of the advancement of the girls to the next level and watching them have fun achieving their successes'. Outside of Premier, Bill works for the DMV and is a High School and College volleyball official. He has a Jr. Nat’l rating for USA Volleyball. Bill coaches volleyball for the girls, to instruct and teach them the correct way to play volleyball. The best sport to coach, play and watch is VOLLEYBALL.. Top of Page

Danielle Lausten
Danielle is in her second year with Premier. She started playing volleyball in 5th grade and all through high school. She graduated from Millard West High School in 2007 and played all four years she attended. She started as a setter and moved to the libero/defensive specialist position. She attends UNO where she is a secondary education major and hopes to become a physical education teacher. At UNO she participates in intramural volleyball. Danielle has also coached for the YMCA. She's coached a 5th grade team and 6th grade team. Danielle is looking forward to another another season of coaching.

Jodi Langhorst
Jodi is in her 4th year of coaching with Premier and is IMPACT
certified. She has coached the Premier 17 & 16 gold teams
to numerous 1st and 2nd finishes at local tournaments and finished
in the top half at the National Tournaments in both Dallas,
TX and Miami, FL. Jodi played all 4 years at Verdigre High School
and then continued her volleyball career playing middle hitter
for Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska from 2002 to 2005
where she was an Academic All-American. She says the best part
about coaching is "working with the girls on developing
their skills and watching them succeed on the court."

Katie (Gaspers) Luther, Staff
Katie is in her 6th year coaching for Premier Volleyball and is IMPACT Certified. Katie also
has coached Queen City Jrs, Hastings club in 2002. Currently, Katie is in her first year as a varsity assistant for Mercy High School volleyball program. She was also an assistant at Bellevue University for two years (2006 & 2007). Katie brings experience playing as a defensive specialist during her four year collegiate career at College of Saint Mary. Katie was a co-captain for the Flames that were nationally rated all four years were she won AVCA Academic Awards and appeared in three NAIA National Tournament making it to the 'Elite-Eight' in 2003. Gaspers was part of two Region IV Championship teams winning four MCAC Conference Championships and was nominated by her teammates in 2004 as Lifter of the Year. Katie graduated from College of Saint Mary in 2006 with a degree in Mathematics.
Katie also has experience playing outside hitter. She played this position all throughout high school in Hastings. She has head coached Premier's 12 & U, 13 & U and 14 & U teams and assistant for 17 & U. Katie says the best part of coaching is "Seeing the players improve their skills through every practice and game.

Amanda Mancuso
Amanda is in her fourth year of coaching for Premier. She is IMPACT and CAP-I certified. She's experienced the sport from various perspectives: spectator, player, and coach. Amanda graduated from Gross Catholic High School in 2005. She played varsity volleyball for four years as a right side and defensive specialist. She also played club volleyball for seven years and is a past Premier player. Amanda has coached middle school and YMCA teams, and is volunteering as a coach for the UNO men's club team this year. She has coached at both the 13 and 15 year-old levels for Premier. When not coaching, she never misses a chance to watch her sisters play volleyball for their respective teams. Amanda also continues to participate as a player in several intramural, sand, and city leagues around Omaha.

Ashley Martin
Ashley is in her 5th year coaching with Premier. Ashley is IMPACT, CAP Level I, and CAP Level II certified. She was previously the Head Varsity Coach at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart before deciding to take a break to focus on club volleyball. She has coached the Premier 15 Black, Premier 16 Black and most recently the Premier 14 Gold team(s). In 2008, she coached the Premier 14 Gold team to a top half finish at the USA Junior Olympics in Miami, FL. Before arriving at Premier, Ashley coached for Omaha Momentum 12s and 16s in 2002 and 2004 and also coached with Nebraska Elite in 2003. She graduated from Creighton University in 2004 where she played as a middle for four years. Ashley was awarded MVC All-Freshman Team in 2001 and 2nd Team Academics - MVC , 2nd Team MVC, and AVCA 2nd Team All-Academics in 2003. Ashley graduated from Valley High School and played as a middle where she was named a Fab 50 recruit and 1st Team All-Conference. Ashley still plays competitively for the Women's A League Omaha Sports Club. She says the best part of coaching is "Watching the team grow and advance throughout the season in skills, friendship, and team chemistry".

Tadd Martin
Tadd is starting his 5th year of coaching for Premier. Tadd previously held the position of Varsity Assistant Coach at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart High School before deciding to take a break to focus on Club Volleyball. Tadd and his wife previously coached the Premier 15 Black, 16 Black & last year the 14 Gold team(s). Tadd is IMPACT, CAP Level I, and CAP Level II certified. Before arriving at Premier, he coached for Omaha Momentum in 2003-2005. There he coached 121s, 131s and 161s teams. "I absolutely love being able to teach and watch players grow their skills throughout the years." Tadd also serves on the Junior Program Board for the Great Plains Volleyball Region.

Erin McMullen
Erin is in her second year of coaching for Premier Volleyball,
however this is her 6th year coaching. She played
middle hitter for Bellevue East High School and has continued
playing as much as possible since graduation. She enjoys coaching
to share the joy that volleyball brings with as many girls as

Lexie Meyers
Lexie is a Premier Alumna (4 years) and is in her second year of coaching for Premier. Lexie played club volleyball for 7 years. She graduated from Papillion-LaVista South High School in 2008 where she was a defensive specialist/libero. She was a letter winner and won Academic All-State honors her senior year. She now attends Dana College as a Business/Spanish major and plays as a defensive specialist. Lexie is very excited to be coaching this year and says, "The best part will be watching the girls improve throughout the season!"

Nate Mongan
Nate is in his fifth year of coaching for Premier, and is both Impact
and CAP I certified. In the 2009 season, Nate coached our Premier 16
Gold team. Premier's 16 Gold team had a successful season in 2009; they
qualified for Junior Nationals at the Show Me National Qualifier by
placing 2nd, placed 5th at the Northern Lights National Qualifier, and
won many region tournaments. The 16 Gold team was consistently ranked as
one of the top 50 teams in Prepvolleyball.com. Nate is a former Mead
High School volleyball coach, qualifying his team for the 2006 Nebraska
State Volleyball Tournament. Nate currently coaches for the Mead Public
Schools junior high volleyball program. Nate also played USAV 18 under
boys in 1992-1993 for the Omaha Volleyball Club. Nate still plays
competitive men's as a setter, and plays competitive co-ed ball. Nate is
a firm believer in reinforcing the fundamentals of the game at all
levels. Nate thoroughly enjoys working with his setters to increase
their court awareness, reading blockers, and making smart setting
choices.

Molly Moberg
Molly is a Premier alum of five years. This is her first season coaching for Premier and club volleyball in general. She played six seasons of club volleyball, but has played for a total of nine. Currently a college student, she graduated from Papillion La Vista High School in 2009. Throughout ther years playing, she gained experience playing middle and right side, but enjoyed getting chances to practice and play in other positions.
While attending PLHS, she played JV freshman year through junior year. During those three years, she coached her younger sister's YMCA team as well as participated in Papillion La Vista High School's summer camp for the younger children.

Julie Moore
Julie is in her 3rd year of coaching with Premier. She has coached at St. Thomas More Grade School for Junior HIgh girls. She has also coached at Duchesne Academy for 8 years. She has coached club for 9 years. As a club coach, she has coached ages 13-17 year olds. She is currently coaching at Mary Our Queen School where she is the 5th grade teacher. In the summer, she runs camps for 5th-8th grade girls. When coaching, Julie hopes to give the girls the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the next level of volleyball.

Megan Bockelman
Megan is a Premier alumna and is in her second year of coaching club volleyball. Megan played club volleyball for 7 years, with 3 of them at Premier. She attended Marian High School where she played as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Megan currently teaches junior high at St. Vincent de Paul and coaches their 8AAA team in the PAL league. She continues to play indoor and sand volleyball year round. The best part about coaching is watching the girls progress throughout the season and develop a love of the game.

Bart Nighswonger
Bart Nighswonger is in his 7th year of coaching with Premier. Bart coached 12's the first 3 seasons and took 2 of the 3 teams to the Junior Girls National Championships. In 2007 he worked with 10-14 year old players and coached teams at 12's, 13's, and 14's. In 2008 and 2009 he coached 13's and returned to the Junior Olympic Girls National Championships both seasons. Bart is an IMPACT Certified coach and completed his CAP Level 1 certification with USA Volleyball in 2006. He has several years of experience coaching girls in 2nd grade through 8th grade in the YMCA leagues prior to joining Premier. He also is in his 2nd year coaching volleyball for Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs. He has 5 years experience as a volleyball parent in club volleyball prior to starting coaching in USA Volleyball as well. Bart says "I enjoy working with the players and seeing the successful development of individual skills and execution of team systems." Bart also plays outside of coaching. He continues to play Coed sand and indoor volleyball. He has played all positions, but his most experience is at the outside and setter positions.

Heidi Oetken
Heidi is in her 7th year of coaching with Premier. Heidi coached our 15&U teams for 4 years, our 17&U team the past 2 years and is currently the JV coach at Millard West. Heidi also served 2 years as Millard South's JV coach. She is IMPACT and CAP I and II Certified. Her high school career was sealed when she was named 1st Team All-Conference her senior year at Storden-Jeffers High School in Minnesota. Currently, she plays city-recreational Women's A volleyball as a setter/hitter. Heidi says the best part of coaching is "Watching your players come together and work as a team. Being part of their improvement throughout the season and knowing that you played a role in helping them develop into a better player gives me a sense of accomplishment. |

Joe Oetken
The '09/'10 season will be Joe's 5th year as a coach for Premier (he has always served as assistant coach to Heidi). Joe played volleyball at South Dakota State University where he played as an outside and middle hitter. Before his career at SDSU, Joe played on a Men's Club team from Omaha North as an outside hitter and setter. Joe has played competitively in USAV Men's A and Local Rec A as a middle hitter. He has been an IMPACT certified coach since 2005, earned his CAP I certification in 2007 and his CAP II certification in 2009. He says " I want to use my passion for the game to help develop young athletes. I really enjoy helping Premier athletes become better people and better players."

Bianca O'Shaughnessy
Bianca is a 1987 graduate of Omaha Westside High School where she was a
three year letter winner in volleyball.
This will be her third year coaching at the club level and her second season
with Premier. Last year Bianca assisted with Premier's 15 Gold Team.
Coach "Bink" has also coached YMCA and PAL league volleyball where she
helped coach her daughter Sydney's team to a PAL League and Tournament
Championship in 2007, and again in 2008. Bianca spent many years playing
women's USVBA and doubles sand volleyball, where she was a champion at the
1992 Cornhusker State Games, and she still loves to play when she has time.
She is IMPACT certified and working on her CAP certification, and says her
favorite part of coaching is "seeing young girls build confidence and
improve in a sport that I love and am very passionate about".

Beth Peal
Beth is on her third year of coaching for Premier. Beth was an assistant coach her first year with 13 Black and this will be her second time coaching for 12 Red as a head coach. Beth also coach for St. Stephens volleyball and this will be her second year and she is coaching 7th grade AAA. She played for Premier for 6 years and attended Millard South High School where she also played for 4 years and graduated in 2007. Beth pursued volleyball at Dana College, and now goes to University of Nebraska- Omaha where she is studying Elementary Education. Beth is very excited to start coaching for Premier again!!

Krysta Peers
Krysta is a Premier alum and in her second year coaching club volleyball. Krysta played club volleyball for eight years for multiple clubs in the Omaha and Lincoln area, her final (and favorite) year being with Premier. She attended Omaha Gross High School where she was a 3 year letter winner in both Volleyball and Tennis. While playing volleyball at Gross, Krysta was defensive specialist. She was an Academic All-Conference player all 3 years. Krysta is currently a junior biology major and playing volleyball at College of Saint Mary in Omaha. At CSM, Krysta plays Libero/DS.

Kirsten Placzek
Kirsten is a Premier alum and in her second year coaching club volleyball. Kirsten played club volleyball for five years, her last three being with Premier. She attended Ralston High School where she was a 3 year letter winner in Volleyball and a 2 year letter winner in Tennis. While playing volleyball at Ralston, Kirsten was defensive specialist until her senior year she became the setter. She was voted Most Improved player her sophomore year, and in 2007 she received All-State Honorable Mention. Kirsten is now in her second year at College of Saint Mary in Omaha where she is majoring in Nursing and plays as a Defensive Specialist/Libero. Kirsten is very excited for another year of coaching and another season of club volleyball with Premier!

Rod Richardson, Staff
Rod has been affiliated with Premier from day one. He has assisted
our 18 & U teams, as well as helping run specialty clinics for
the club. Outside of Premier, Rod is the Assistant Coach for
the Creighton University. Rod says the best part of coaching
is "Seeing kids you've coached in the past continue in the sport
as players or as coaches."

Laurel Sanford
Laurel is in her first year coaching at Premier. She is currently a Middle Blocker for the Creighton Bluejays while being a full time student. She was recently named Defensive Player of the week. Laurel played in the high school Minnesota State Tournament her Junior year in High School. Laurel then made the All-State Team in High School her Senior year. She played for Northern Lights Volleyball Club on the Ones team. She played in the open division and placed third at Nationals. Laurel is majoring in Elementary Education at Creighton.

Trish Siedlik, Staff
Trish is in her 5th year with Premier. Siedlik has recruited 12 players from Premier Volleyball Club to two
different institutions over the last 5 years. "I enjoy working with Premier Volleyball Club because not only do they
have quality coaches that work with these young ladies, but they also emphasize a great attitude and what it means to be a good teammate.
Those are the players that we want in our program."
Trish Siedlik is in her
second year at Bellevue University finishing #19 NAIA ranking,
a 31-9 record and the school's first MCAC
Tournament Championship. Her goal is to be a program that competes
at the national level each year. Prior to Bellevue, Siedlik
was head coach at College of Saint Mary in Omaha from 2002-2005.
During her four years, the Flames compiled a 124-21 record,
including a conference record of 60-2, winning four MCAC regular
season and tournament titles, two Region IV titles, and three
NAIA National Tournament appearances, making it all the way
to the "Elite-Eight" in 2004. Siedlik was named 2002,
2003 and 2006 MCAC Coach of the Year along with Region IV Coach
of the Year honors in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Siedlik played
her collegiate volleyball at College of Saint Mary from
1995-98 and graduated with a Computer Graphics degree in 1999.
Trish is
married to Michael Siedlik Jr. who is employed with the Omaha
Fire
Department. They have two sons, Brandon (3) and Luke (1).

Nikki Seipold
Nicole (Niki) is in her third year of coaching with Premier and has played club for 7 years, 4 of which were with Premier. This year she is the head JV coach and assistant Varsity for Ronacalli High School. She has also helped coach 5th & 6th grade teams at Mary Our Queen for their PAL league. Nicole graduated from Westside where she played all 4 years as outside and DS. She went on and played one year at Bellevue University as DS/ Outside Hitter and helped the team go to the NAIA National Tournament in 2007. Nicole loves the game with a passion and can't wait for the season to start. Niki says the best part of coaching is Helping a group of girls accomplish personal goals they have for the sport and seeing them use it in a game!

Andrea Sikora
Andrea has been coaching with Premier for 8 years. She is CAP I and Impact certified. Andrea is a native of Falls City, Nebraska, where she graduated from Falls City Sacred Heart High School. Her junior year she contributed to her high school teams winning state championships in volleyball, basketball and track. Her senior year followed closely to that of her junior year, winning state championships in basketball and track and state runners-up in volleyball. She continued her volleyball career as a player for the College of Saint Mary, in Omaha. Andrea started as an outside hitter as a freshman and earned MCAC Newcomer of the Year honors in 1999. Throughout the rest of her career she earned other honors such as lifter of the year, two-time co-captain for the flames, two-time MCAC Defensive Specialist of the Year, two-time Academic All-American, and All-American honors her senior year. Andrea still plays competitively in women?s leagues in the area. In addition to coaching for Premier, Andrea was an assistant coach for Midland Lutheran College in Fremont for three years. Prior to coaching at Midland, Andrea coached for Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for two years. Andrea says one of the best parts about coaching is helping players grow and mature both as competitive athletes and as people.

Nic Sikora
Nic is in his 3rd year of coaching with Premier Volleyball. He has worked with his wife Andrea Sikora with the 11 and 12 year olds. He is a CAP I and IMPACT Certified Coach. Nic has coached in a variety of roles over the years including Head Women's tennis coach at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee Wisconsin and Assistant Track and Field couch at Waukesha West High School. While in college he assisted with the St. Joe Spike volleyball team and became a certified volleyball official in Missouri. Before college Nic was a three sport athlete for Sacred Heart High School. Nic says the best part of coaching is "Watching a player learn how to play the game both physically and mentally. There is nothing like giving a girl the ball for the serve on game point and seeing that she knows she's going to hit it in."

Sarah Mancuso Skaggs
Sarah Skaggs is a first-year coach with Premier. She played for the club while in highschool and has watched it grow since then. Sarah has experience as both a player & coach, playing both highschool & college volleyball, then doing volunteer coaching for both club & the YMCA leagues. She loves to see girls work hard & develop their skills to become great volleyball players. Sarah's favorite things to do are hang out with her kids & family and play volleyball.

Denise Vavruska
Denise is in her second year with Premier. She started playing
volleyball when she was in grade school then pursued volleyball
more aggressively when she entered Westside High School. She
played all four years including the off season for Team West.
After graduation she continued to play for recreational sand
volleyball leagues through out the Omaha area. Denise also,
interacted with UNO recreational volleyball team, which she
participated for one year. She is an IMPACT certified coach
and recently finished her season with Club Zoomba in the spring
of 2006. Previously to coaching Club Zoomba she started with
the YMCA coaching young girls from the ages 7-10 years old.
After coaching YMCA for two seasons she became the head coach
for St James 5 th grade volleyball team. Denise then went to
Club Zoomba where she was the head coach for the 5th and 6th
grade team and also assisted with the 7th and 8th grade teams
as well. Denise believes the thing that motivates her the most
is knowing that she is helping young girls believe in themselves
and developing a love for the game!!

Nicole Venditte
Nicole (Vaeda) is a Premier Alumna (5 years) and is in her third year of coaching for Premier and fourth year over all. Nicole played club volleyball for 8 years. She graduated from Millard West in 2006 where she played as a setter. She is now a senior defensive specialist for Dana College. In September 2007, she made All-Tournament team at the Grinnell Tournament. Nicole says the best part about coaching is "Watching a group girls come together to achieve a common goal."

Allison Weaver
Allison began playing volleyball as a young girl. Her first exposure to the game was as a 5th grader, playing for the club team Lincoln Jrs. In 6th grade she played for a local team in Falls City and then from 7th through 12th grade (1997-2002) she played both club (Lincoln Jrs) and high school volleyball (Falls City Sacred Heart). She started on the varsity team all four years of high school and participated in the state tournament her junior and senior years (getting runner-up her senior year). Allison also played basketball and ran track throughout junior high and high school (making state appearances in those sports as well). Her club team participated in national qualifiers each year (Colorado Crossroads & Northern Lights) and she participated in the national tournaments in Kentucky and Utah.
Allison then went off to play four years (2003-2006) of collegiate volleyball at Doane College. Her first year she was the starting libero and the next three years she started in the outside hitter position. Her junior year Allison's team made it to the NAIA national tournament in San Diego, CA. She made several all-tournament teams, including Hastings College, Dearborn Michigan, and Graceland University. Allison was co-captain my senior year.
The fall after Allison graduated from college (2007), she was the assistant coach for her alma mater, Falls City Sacred Heart and the head coach for the junior varsity team. The varsity team made it to the state tournament, losing in the semi-finals.
Allison is currently playing volleyball in a coed league at Digz and last year she was a member of the Omaha Sports Club.

Mike Weber Mike Weber is in his second year with Premier. He is in his first year as a volunteer assistant with the Creighton Volleyball program. Last season Mike coached the Premier 18 Gold team and that team finished fifth at nationals. Mike is a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., where he was an all-state middle blocker at Rampart High School. He played collegiately at Peru State from 2002-06, where he was twice a team captain and all-conference outside hitter.

Kristen Wegium Kristen is in her first year coaching with Premier Volleyball. She is currently a Sophomore at College of Saint Mary. She plays as an Outside Hitter for the Flames.
Kristen played four years of high school varstiy volleyball for West Point-Beemer High School. She also played three years of club and has coached a 15U club team for two years.
