Position Specific Training
December 1st, 2011 (Updated Jan 29th)
We will be running Position Specific Training throughout the season. Amy will be running these
sessions along with other Premier coaches specializing in those
areas.
These sessions are designed for players who have chosen a position
or want to increase their level of experience and expertise. The
training is for athletes who want to take their ability of play
to the next level.
You must register online in order to attend! No Walk-Ins! All training sessions will be open to the first 25 players who sign up!
Registration will open up the Sunday evening before each Tues/Wed training session. The reason we wait to open them on Sunday evenings
is to give those who are in tournaments on Sundays the chance to register.
All Position Training sessions are open to Premier Players only and are included in your fees!
Premier Volleyball Players’ Financial Aid Recipients

Congratulations to our 2011 Premier Volleyball Players’ Financial Aid Recipients!
The Premier Volleyball Players' Financial Aid seeks to recognize its recently graduated high school seniors who continue to pursue their education. Applicants must demonstrate active participation in club activities, a willingness to excel in the classroom as well as on the court, leadership potential, and strong work ethics. This financial aid is sponsored by the families, coaches, and staff of Premier Volleyball. Funding for this aid is made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Premier Golf Classic Tournament Committee. The financial aid recipients for 2011 are:
Niki Gregory is a May graduate of Daniel J Gross Catholic High School where she was a four-year member of the varsity volleyball team. Niki is studying sports management and communication arts at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. She says, "Premier did not just teach me how to be a great volleyball player, but they taught me how to have fun and still be competitive. When you play for Premier, you are joining a family that has many generations of a competitive, fun, hardworking atmosphere!"
Kelsie Pettit is a May graduate of Millard North High School. In high school, Kelsie was an active community volunteer and a member of the volleyball program for four years. Currently, she is attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. Kelsie's advice to other volleyball players is to never give up. "There will be times along your journey that you will be faced with extreme obstacles and setbacks. Just don't give up. These are the times when your character is built."
Bailey Vance is a May graduate of Papillion-LaVista South High School. Bailey has been an eight-year member of the Premier Volleyball program. Currently, she is attending Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri where she is a member of the volleyball program and is studying pre-physical therapy. Premier has taught Bailey many lessons. She's learned to be a good player and the importance of teamwork and dedication. The club "has presented me with both success and failure, and how to deal with both of them". Most of all, Bailey says "don't be afraid to go after something you want and play with confidence
Way to go ladies!

We will have two sessions at The Courts.
1st Session - Wednesday, January 4th (6:00pm-7:30pm)
2nd Session - Saturday, January 14th (10:00am-11:30am)
All Premier Club members interested in being recruited for college
volleyball are highly encouraged to attend. It's not too early
to think about your college options - recommended for athletes that are 14 & Up. This has been a successful seminar
and answers many questions that may come up in your quest
for a college scholarship. Since tournaments and qualifiers are coming up and many coaches will be watching,
this is a great time to get educated!!
Parents are highly encouraged to come with your daughter(s)...

Nutrition Sessions for 11u-14u X-Edge Athletes

11-14 XE Participants,
This upcoming week of Nov. 21 X-edge will be conducting the Nutrition program for each team. It will be booked around practice as normal and the athletes will only be doing nutrition this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. The nutrition session will only be for the athletes as seating is limited because we are doing the sessions in the parents room at the courts. We will have a later date exclusively for the parents.

Premier Volleyball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
In the 2010-2011 season, Premier Volleyball had 23 teams, 228 athletes, 59 team coaches, 7 special training coaches, and 2 strength and conditioning coaches.
Premier Volleyball's coaching staff is one of the most consistent and accredited coaching staffs in the Great Plains region with 364 years of coaching experience and 12 CAP Level I Certified Coaches and 4 CAP Level II Certified Coaches. (Coaches Accreditation Program)
Premier Volleyball's teams have 10 athletes and the majority of them have 3 coaches.
73 out of 77 Premier Volleyball seniors in the last 5 years have received and accepted offers to play at the collegiate level.
Premier Volleyball is committed to giving the opportunity to any volleyball player from Omaha and its surrounding area - no matter what school they attend.
Premier Volleyball provides flexibility for the multi-sport athlete. We remain committed to having our athletes maintain well rounded lives.
34 of Premier Volleyball's coaches played at the collegiate level bringing a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience.
38 of Premier Volleyball's alumni enjoyed their Premier experience so much they have come back to coach for us during and after their collegiate careers.
Premier Volleyball has won 5 National Qualifier Championships. 3 of those were in one season (2010-2011)!!!

Since Premier Volleyball teamed up with Xplosive Edge, our injuries decreased by 88% over the last 5 years.
Athletes at Premier Volleyball along with their parents "give back" by volunteering their time with the Nebraska Special Olympics Volleyball programs.

Xplosive Edge and Premier Volleyball
Designed specifically for Premier Volleyball athletes since 2005, the Xplosive Edge has teamed up with Premier to create the superior power athlete. Trained on site at our "Courts" satellite facility, premier athletes can train immediately before or after practice with X-edge. The Xplosive Edge satellite facility at The Courts is the Midwest's premier training facility for volleyball athletes. Equipped with Power Lift and Hammer Strength equipment, the courts satellite facility is nicer than most of the universities in the nation.
Emphasis is put on increasing strength, balance, agility, and range of motion, all while developing more power. These Premier Volleyball athletes are increasing their vertical jumps while at the same time learning how to jump and land on the ground as well as accelerate and decelerate. Plyometrics are included in our training regimen only when the athlete has become strong enough to control their bodies in space.
The courts training facility is exclusively for the use of the Xplosive Edge in its training of Premier Volleyball. Premier Volleyball is one of the nations best volleyball clubs and is on the rise. Since the inception of Xplosive Edge working with Premier Volleyball, Premier has increased its winning percentage by over 66% all while decreasing the injury rate by over 88%. This last year Premier Volleyball sent 8 teams to the USA volleyball championships!
Premier athletes are trained twice a week (45 min. sessions) right before or after their practice. Each athlete is pre and post performance tested to see their own individual performance index score created by Boyd Epley of Epic Athletic Performance.
